Dr. Amanda Morgan has almost two decades of experience working in the field of Clinical Psychology both as a clinician providing assessment and intervention services to children, teens, and adults, and also as a researcher & professor at Tyndale University. Her areas of academic research include: Childhood Developmental Delays, Early Intervention Programs for Children with Autism, Parenting Stress, and Dyadic (Couples) Coping.
Dr. Morgan completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC), trained at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Lovaas Autism Intervention Centre, and completed her doctorate degree at the University of New Brunswick. Following that Dr. Morgan completed a 1 year internship at Bloorview Kids Rehab in Toronto as part of her post-doc clinical training. Prior to going into private practice Dr. Morgan worked at the North York General Hospital's (NYGH) Child Development Centre. As a psychologist on the NYGH team, Dr. Morgan worked on complex cases referred to her by pediatricians from across Ontario.
At present Dr. Morgan works as a professor at Tyndale university and is the Clinical Director of AAA Psychology which partners with several mental health clinics across Ontario and British Columbia. Dr. Morgan is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in both Ontario and British Columbia offering clinical services in both provinces. Finally, Dr. Morgan is a sought after speaker and frequently runs workshops on a variety of topics for a wide range of provincial and federal agencies such as foster care & early intervention agencies & school boards.
The AAA Psychology Neuro-Divergent Team (www.Neuro-Divergent.com) offers in-depth online adult assessments for ASD and ADHD (or a combo of both). These involve the use of clinical interviews with clients and secondary reports such as their parents or partners, as well as the use of standardized clinical assessment questionnaires. Reports provide a diagnosis if applicable as well as detailed recommendations. If required forms for employers, government benefits, educational institutions or exam companies can also be provided following the assessment if applicable. Two Can Talk's team of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) provide speech therapy services including assessment, treatment, and consultation, both in-person and online. They also partner with AAA Psychology to provide Autism Spectrum Disorder and Psycho-Educational Assessments with a clinical psychologist.
Autism in Mind Children’s Charity (AIM) is a registered Canadian charity focused on offering best-in-class professional services to families regardless of financial ability.
